As I see, a lot of you want to start your own website for the first time.
Well, here’s first of many “Your first website” articles.

In this article I’m gonna give you some tips, ideas how to start your own tutorials publishing website.

What is tutorials publishing website?

Well, it’s this kind of site. Like Tutorials007.com.
Site where some guy, in this case me, or a group of them, is posting tutorials to make some regular visitor something easier.
You can write tips and tutorials about everything you’re good at. I’ve decided to write about web design, web development, graphic design,..anbd stuff similar to that.

Getting started

First thing you should do - choose your good domain name.
This is important part, try to stay as close to the main topic of your site.
I.E. If you’re writing Photoshop Tutorials try to use something that has some relations with Photoshoop and tutorials.

Now when you decided what domain name you will use, buy it! Buy it and reserve for yourself.
Ok, now you can start writing tutorials.
Write at least 5 of them. You don’t want to start a website that has no content. Trust me, this is not good.

Now, you need somekind of Content management system.  I deeply suggest you to use WordPress. It’s a good and powerfull CMS/Blog system that supports categories and subcategories which is an important fact for this kind of website.

Upload it to your server and install it. You have detailed guide in it’s readme file.

Now, add your content. Make sure it’s readable :)  Do a spellcheck of your text before you publish it (if you can).
You can see that I’m making mistakes in writing, that’s not good. Do not same mistakes like me.

Ok, your tutorials are published and now you should start submitting the. So go ahead and read my “How and where to submit your tutorials” article.
