Pixel navigation buttons

It this tutorial you will learn a little bit of pixel design,
we will make a pixel menu together. You can even use pixel technique for some print design…
We will use zoom, pencil tool, marquee tool…
1. Create a new document

2. Make new layer (CTRL + SHIFT + N) and name it button 1.
Grab Rectangular Marquee Tool (M), size fixed, width 100 px, height 14 px.
Place it like on picture below.

3. Go to Edit -> Stroke…
Use settings like in picture below.

Hit CTRL + D to deselect.
4. Now, grab Magic Wand Tool (W), and click inside your new shape.

Fill your selection with #DB8300.
5. Grab a Pencil Tool (B),set foreground color to #FFDBA6.
Zoom your picture and make a line like shown on picture below.

This is what you should have when you zoom out.

6. Copy your button 5-6 times, depends how many links you have.
Place it one below other, add some text and voila.

Now you know the basics. You can add some button to your navigation, some shapes…
